Introduction to the New Eden Heaven on Earth Eco Village Project
The New Eden Heaven on Earth Eco Village project is an innovative initiative designed to create sustainable living communities that harmonize with nature. Our vision is to establish eco-friendly villages that prioritize environmental stewardship, social cohesion, and personal well-being. Each eco village will feature sustainable architecture, community gardens, renewable energy sources, and spaces for creative expression and collaboration.
Residents will engage in permaculture practices, cooperative farming, and skill-sharing workshops, fostering a strong sense of community and connection to the earth. The project aims to serve as a model for sustainable living, promoting a lifestyle that values ecological balance, healthy relationships, and holistic well-being. Through the New Eden Eco Village project, we aspire to create a sanctuary where individuals can thrive in a peaceful, supportive environment while contributing to the greater good of humanity and the planet.
Southwest Sustainability Innovation Engine (SWSIE)
Application Update
The NSF Engines: Southwest Sustainability Innovation Engine (SWSIE) invites project pitches for grant funding in the range of $100,000 to $250,000. This non-dilutive funding opportunity supports sustainability-related projects that address critical challenges and provide innovative solutions in energy, water, and carbon sectors.
We have submitted the NE Eco Villages project to the SWSIE program. Be sure to contact UNLV's Economic Development Dept and let them know you'd like to see this project come to NV.

Step 1: Selection of Archetypes & Leaders (Housing for the First 20 Residents)
We will identify the founding members of New Eden, the first 20 residents who will be responsible for guiding the development process. This initial group will include specialists like builders, farmers, engineers, educators, and more, who will establish the foundation of the village.
-
Fundraising Goal: $25,000 (for recruitment, relocation assistance, and initial training sessions)
-
Timeline: 3 months
Step 4: Establishing Key Community Areas
Alongside housing, we will create essential communal spaces for meetings, meals, and workshops. These spaces will foster collaboration and provide a setting for educating new members and visitors about sustainable practices.
-
Community Gathering Area & Education Spaces: $150,000 (construction, design, and materials)
-
Farming Plots: $75,000 (for initial crop setup, soil preparation, and equipment)
-
Fundraising Goal: $225,000
-
Timeline: 4-8 months
Step 7: Documenting and Showcasing New Eden
Throughout the construction and development phases, we will document the journey, creating videos, guides, and blueprints to help others replicate our model of sustainable living. This documentation will also serve as an educational tool for attracting more support and investors.
-
Fundraising Goal: $50,000 (media production, equipment, and editing costs)
-
Timeline: Ongoing
Land Acquistion
The village must be built on a property that aligns with our sustainability goals and has the space to expand as the community grows. Nevada is our primary target for this first village, but we are also exploring options in Washington.
-
Fundraising Goal: $300,000 (for land purchase, legal fees, and initial site assessments)
-
Timeline: 3-6 months
-
Land Area Needed: 10-15 acres for initial construction and agriculture
Step 5: Renewable Energy Setup
New Eden will rely entirely on renewable energy sources. We plan to install a combination of solar power systems and advanced energy management technologies to ensure the community is fully self-powered.
-
Fundraising Goal: $350,000 (solar panel installation, battery storage, and waste recycling systems)
-
Solar Panels: $250,000
-
Battery Storage Systems: $75,000
-
Waste Recycling: $25,000
-
-
Timeline: 6-12 months
Step 8: Welcoming the First Residents
After the initial 20 homes and key community areas are built, we will begin housing the first residents. Each resident will bring valuable skills to further the development and growth of the eco-village.
-
Fundraising Goal: $25,000 (logistical costs of transitioning residents into the village)
-
Timeline: 1-2 months
Step 3: Initial Infrastructure Development
We will construct small-scale, sustainable housing structures designed to accommodate the first 20 residents. These buildings will utilize advanced materials like hempcrete, solar panels, and water recycling systems to ensure energy efficiency.
-
Fundraising Goal: $500,000 (for materials, labor, and construction tools)
-
Hempcrete: $100,000
-
Solar panels and installation: $150,000
-
Water purification and recycling systems: $50,000
-
Miscellaneous building costs: $200,000
-
-
Timeline: 6-12 months
Step 6: Sustainable Farming
Our village will rely on a mix of robotic technology and human labor for agricultural production. Starting with high-yield crops, we aim to grow enough food to sustain the first 20 residents and expand as the village grows.
-
Fundraising Goal: $100,000 (robotic equipment, hydroponic systems, greenhouses)
-
Timeline: 3-6 months
Step 9: Expansion and Development
As New Eden begins to take shape, we will continue fundraising efforts to support the next phases of expansion. This includes building additional homes, expanding farming areas, and further integrating technology to create a truly self-sustaining community.
-
Estimated Future Fundraising Goal: $1.5 million (for continued expansion, larger community spaces, education centers, and more housing)
